The membership process for joining any LAMA chapter is pretty straight forward. Please note that you can ride any brand of motorcycle so long as it is 650 cc or higher.
First we encourage you to get in contact with one of our officers or members via the "contact us" page or through Facebook, Instagram, or simply approach any one of us if you see us on the road. Remember, LAMA is all about family and inclusiveness so please don't hesitate to walk up and introduce yourself! We will invite you to join us on a ride or attend one of our meetings so that you can get to know us and answer any questions you may have.
If you express an interest in joining us, you will need to complete a membership application. Once completed and submitted, you will be required to pay an initial membership fee, which covers your yearly international membership dues and initial patches, we will provide you with the international member patch as well as the prospect patch.
The International patch is issued to all Associate and International members of LAMA. A rocker (not shown) is added for each subsequent year of membership. A country and state patch is issued as well.
The Prospect Patch is issued to any person who is pursuing full membership to a National or International chapter. All prospect members must wear the Prospect patch for a minimum of three months.
After three months as a Prospect, the member is eligible to be voted to Probate status.
The L.A.M.A. rockers are added to the Prospect Patch to create the Probate set. Prospect members who are voted to Probate status must wear the Probate set of patches for a minimum of three months.
After three months as a Probate the member is eligible to be voted as a Full Member.
Full Colors are awarded to Probate members who successfully complete the 6 month probation period. Full Colors are always awarded in a ceremonial fashion.
The DAMA de L.A.M.A patch is awarded to our female members who ride their own motorcycle.
